The FSB reported an attempt to blow up a high-ranking military officer in St. Petersburg.

In St. Petersburg, two intruders were detained who booby-trapped a car belonging to a high-ranking military officer. This was announced on February 26 by the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

"It has been established that the defendants entered into correspondence with a representative of the Ukrainian special services through the foreign messenger Telegram, during which they announced their readiness to commit a terrorist attack. On the instructions of the curator, they seized an improvised explosive device from a hiding place, conducted a reconnaissance of the residential address and installed an IED under the vehicle of a serviceman," the FSB Central Control Center reported.
