On February 26, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted an appeal to the parliaments of Germany, France, Britain, as well as the European Parliament (EP) and the United Nations (UN) calling for measures to prevent a possible nuclear conflict and investigate information about plans by Paris and London to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine. This is evidenced on February 26 by a document published on the website of the Lower House of Parliament.

"To submit to the State Duma, in accordance with the procedure established by Article 94 of the Rules of Procedure of the State Duma, a draft resolution of the State Duma "On the appeal of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation "To the National Assembly of the French Republic, the House of Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the EP and the UN," the document says.

In the text of the message, the deputies of the State Duma expressed their concern about information about plans to transfer nuclear weapons to Kiev. The "thoughtless" initiatives of the French and British sides, as they added in the explanation, will lead to an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. Based on this, the authors of the letter called on the listed authorities to take emergency measures to prevent such a scenario.

The resolution, as explained in the text of the draft, was sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Federation Council, the government and the Civic Chamber. The material was also sent to the Inter-Parliamentary Union and a number of other international organizations.
