The third round of Iranian-American talks has begun in Geneva.
The third round of indirect Iranian-American negotiations on the nuclear dossier started with the mediation of Oman in Geneva. This was reported on February 26 by the FARS news agency.
"The third round of indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the United States, mediated by Oman, began today with the participation of delegations from both sides in Geneva," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that the Iranian delegation will be headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Abbas Araqchi, and the American delegation will be headed by the special envoy of the head of the White House Stephen Witkoff. The meeting is taking place in the building of the Omani Embassy and is supervised by the Foreign Minister of that state, Badr al-Busaidi.
The continuation of the negotiation process was announced a day earlier by the representative of the Iranian government, Fatema Mohajerani. She clarified that information on the consultations would be provided later.
On February 24, Araqchi also stated that his country intends to achieve a peaceful settlement of differences with the United States. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted on February 19, Moscow is pinning its hopes on this approach.
