Russians named the most popular travel destinations in March

Among the domestic travel destinations in March, Russians most often chose Kaliningrad — it accounted for about 20% of all flights across Russia. Makhachkala came in second place (18%), and Sochi took the third place (15%). The average cost of tickets to these destinations ranged from 7 thousand to 10 thousand rubles one way. This is evidenced by the data from a study of the Kupibilet ticket loophole service, which was reviewed by Izvestia on February 28.

The top popular destinations also included Mineralnye Vody (11%, 8,471 rubles) and St. Petersburg (9%), which remains the most affordable option among the leaders of the rating: the average cost of a ticket there was 5,247 rubles.

Istanbul became the undisputed leader among foreign destinations in March — about 31% of travelers planning trips abroad chose it. The average flight price was 11,375 rubles one way. Baku came in second place (19%, 10,276 rubles), Yerevan took the third position (15%, 11,179 rubles). The top five most popular foreign destinations also included Tashkent (12%, 8,285 rubles), which has become one of the most budget options, and Paris (10%) with an average ticket price of 17,983 rubles one way.
