Over the past decade, specialists who are part of the Moscow urban development complex have carried out major repairs to the historical decor of eight houses with semicircular risalites, rare elements in the capital's residential buildings. This was reported on February 26 on the portal of the mayor of the city Sergey Sobyanin. mos.ru .

This infrequent architectural technique is used to go beyond the boundaries of the usual wall plane. It is distinguished by its arcuate shape and is used to give the appearance of an object dynamics and volume. The shapes created by it significantly expand the interior space, filling it with panoramic light.

The works were carried out, for example, in the house built in 1901 at 3a Karmanitsky Lane, building 1. The building, which corresponds to the eclectic style, combining elements of neoclassicism and Art Nouveau, is visually divided into several parts.

In 2022, its facade and roof were reconstructed, and the engineering systems were replaced. The events were carried out in several stages according to an individual project. The basement, the entrance pipes and the roof crate were also put in order within their framework.

Another house, built in the same year, is located at 13 Seleznevskaya Street, building 1. Decorated with architraves and pilasters, it has also been renovated. The exterior walls were cleaned and washed in order to restore the weathered seams and destroyed segments of brickwork. The wet spots were treated with biocidal and antiseptic compounds. Cold water supply, electricity, sanitation and central heating systems were also replaced there.

Last year, the third facility was restored — a four-storey house number 18, located on Vorontsovo Pole Street. The experts involved in the work cleaned, washed and treated the facades with antifungal compounds, and also actively used domestic materials and technologies.

On February 5, Sobyanin's portal reported that over the past decade, more than 30 houses in the capital, which were located in the southwest of the city, have been renovated. All the buildings were, as noted, built in the neoclassical architectural style.
