The IMF predicted the growth of the US national debt to 140% of GDP by 2031

The US national debt will reach 140% of GDP by 2031. This follows from the assessment of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), published on February 25.

"Under the current policy, it is expected that the state budget deficit will remain at 7-8% of GDP, resulting in public debt reaching 140% of GDP by 2031," the statement said.
