Air defense forces eliminated one Ukrainian UAV on approach to Voronezh

The Air Defense Forces destroyed one Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on approach to Voronezh. This was announced on February 26 by the Governor of the Voronezh Region, Alexander Gusev.

"An unmanned aerial vehicle was detected and destroyed by the on—duty air defense forces on approach to the city," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Gusev added that according to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage as a result of the incident. He clarified that the threat of a UAV strike has been lifted in Voronezh.

Shoot down: new air defense units have been created in the special operation zone

Mobile firing groups of commandant's offices will protect military and civilian objects in the near rear from drones.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced a day earlier that the air defense forces had destroyed 60 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Russian Federation. The largest number of drones was intercepted over the territory of the Republic of Crimea — 27 units.
