Unemployed citizens of pre-retirement age can apply for an old-age insurance pension ahead of schedule. This was announced on February 26 by Tatiana Podolskaya, an expert at the RANEPA Presidential Academy.

"[Early retirement can be] unemployed pre—retirees — women 54 years and older and men 59 years and older — if they registered with the employment service and could not find a job," Podolskaya said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The expert clarified that the right to an earlier retirement is also provided for employees of harmful industries: women can make payments from the age of 45, men from the age of 50.

In addition, early retirement is possible if you have long—term insurance experience - at least 37 years for women and 42 years for men. According to the expert, representatives of certain professions, including teachers, artists and medical professionals, can also take advantage of this opportunity, provided they have 25 years of experience - five years after its development.

Separate rules apply to mothers with many children. The retirement age depends on the number of children and can range from 50 to 57 years old, the agency's interlocutor said.

"Special retirement dates are also provided for guardians of people with disabilities, residents of the Far North and reindeer herders, fishermen, hunters and trappers," Podolskaya added.
