- A captured militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the threats of the command to be shot for SOCH
The Ukrainian command threatens its subordinates with reprisals for the unauthorized abandonment of the unit and scares them by allegedly practicing torture against militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in captivity of Russian servicemen. Vadim, a Ukrainian prisoner of war, told about this on February 25, the footage is published by Izvestia.
"The command treats us badly, they don't take people out, they don't change them, they say that if you leave this cellar on your own, they will shoot you. We are told that if you are captured by the Russians, they [allegedly] mock you, they torture you <...> In short, you will not live there," Vadim said.
According to the prisoner of war, employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of military enlistment offices in Ukraine) picked him up on August 10 on his way from work: before throwing Vadim into the car, they took away his moped and hit him twice in the jaw.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter noted that he had been trained for two months, after which he was sent to a combat zone. Half of his fellow travelers managed to escape. According to him, people do not want to serve, but they are "forced."
"I was captured, they treat me normally: they give me food, they give me a smoke, they give me water, they give me everything. There is a sleeping place in the bedroom, I sleep on the bed, normally. I slept on the floor there," the prisoner concluded.
Timur Krayev, a prisoner of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said on February 20 that employees of the Shopping mall forcibly take residents of Ukraine to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from where they are sent "to slaughter." According to the prisoner, among the forced were people with obvious physical ailments, including epilepsy.
