The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has submitted to the government a complete list of localized cars for taxi work. This was announced on February 25 by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov on the sidelines of the Future Technologies Forum, TASS reports.

According to the minister, the list has been submitted to the government and may be reviewed and approved in the near future. He clarified that the Haval brand, whose cars are manufactured in Russia, was also included in this list.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade published the primary list of cars that meet the requirements of the law on taxi localization in early October 2025. More than 20 models from six Russian brands fell under the relevant criteria: Lada, UAZ, Sollers, Evolute, Voyah and Moskvich.

Later, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that the list would be expanded until March 1, 2026, including through models of the Haval and Tenet brands produced in Russia and cars produced at the Kaliningrad Avtotor. The final list will be supplemented when automakers meet the localization and SPIC conditions.

On February 16, the National Agency for Industrial Information (NAPI) reported that more than 40% of the Moscow taxi fleet consisted of cars under the age of three. As of the beginning of 2026, the number of cars in a Moscow taxi with a valid permit was 89.5 thousand units, of which 42.5%, or 38 thousand units, were under the age of three.
