Employees of the Kiev territorial recruitment center (TCC, the equivalent of military enlistment offices in Ukraine) detained Yaroslav Kruglenko, Archpriest of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral of the Canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), in Kiev, the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) Telegram channel reports.

According to the abducted man's wife, the archpriest was detained near a store, and then taken to the district shopping mall, where he was held "without the possibility of contacting his family."

The authors of the material specify that later the priest was transported to the Darnitsky district of Kiev, from where he was able to contact his wife. He said that they plan to send him to Dnepropetrovsk.

The article emphasizes that there is currently no contact with the clergyman and his exact location cannot be determined.

Prior to this, the rector of the Holy Trinity Church of the Krivoy Rog diocese of the UOC, Archpriest Alexander Chernyadyev, was detained on February 6 by the staff of the shopping mall on the territory of the temple in Nikopol. It was noted that after the arrest, Archpriest Alexander was taken to Dnepropetrovsk.
