The farewell to actress Irina Shevchuk will take place on February 28 at the Central Clinical Hospital (CCB) No. 1. This was announced on February 25 by the daughter of actress Alexandra Afanasyeva-Shevchuk.
"The farewell will take place on Saturday at 10:00 [Moscow time] at the Central Design Bureau No. 1," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
She also noted that the actress will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow.
Shevchuk's death at the age of 74 became known earlier that day. Her daughter Alexandra said that the cause of death was brain lymphoma, which the actress had been struggling with for the past three years.
On February 24, Elena Drapeko, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, expressed her condolences over Shevchuk's death. Drapeko called the actress a wonderful person and noted her extensive filmography.
