Last year, the share of trips by Muscovites on public transport increased to 70%, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

"If in 2010 there were about 3 million cars on the roads per day, then in 2025 there will be 2.79 million. At the same time, it should be noted that the number of cars registered in the region has increased by 60% over the years (+3.4 million cars)," he wrote in the MAX messenger.

There are plans to launch the first section of the Rublyovo—Arkhangelskaya line from the Business Center to General Karbyshev Boulevard this year. By the end of the year, Russia's first unmanned train will run without passengers on schedule with other trains. In January, its official testing began — the train travels along the BKL under the supervision of the driver. The first trips with passengers are planned in 2027, and the first unmanned metro line will be launched in the capital in 2030.

In addition, according to Sobyanin, 11 unmanned trams will be launched in the city this year — there will be 15 of them in total. The development of tram diameters will continue — the T2 route will appear from the Novogireevo metro station to the Chertanovskaya metro station. The share of eco-friendly transport on Mosgortrans routes will reach 45%. The total number of electric buses will exceed 3.3 thousand. Payment by biometrics will appear at all stations of the IDC and in urban land transport, the mayor noted.

Moscow will also launch a pilot project to manage the traffic of an entire residential neighborhood using artificial intelligence.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
