In Belogorsk (Amur region) animals are being massively vaccinated against rabies. Veterinary service staff will conduct a routine inspection of the farmsteads.

The vaccination will take place on February 28 in the Shelukha area, on Aviatsionnaya Street and adjacent territories, as well as in the Green Town. This is reported by PriamurMedia news agency.

The Animal Disease Control Station recommends that local residents stay at home and keep pets in place. Experts emphasize that vaccination and quarantine remain key measures to combat rabies.

Quarantine in Belogorsk was announced after rabies was detected in a raccoon dog. An aggressive animal wandered into the territory of a private farmstead. More than 1.3 thousand animals have already been vaccinated.
