One person was killed in the crash of an F-16 fighter jet in the Turkish city of Balikesir. This was reported on February 25 by the Yeni Akit newspaper, citing provincial Governor Ismail Ustaoglu.

"An F-16 fighter jet belonging to the 9th Main Air Base crashed during a scheduled flight for an unknown reason," the publication says.
