It became known about the calls of fraudsters on behalf of bailiffs

The scammers began using a new deception scheme, posing as bailiff officers and informing Russians about allegedly unpaid traffic police fines. RIA Novosti learned about this on February 25.

According to the agency, the attackers are calling potential victims, posing as bailiffs. During the conversation, they declare that there is a debt on a fine for violating traffic rules and warn about the accrual of penalties.

Next, the scammers convince the interlocutor to pay off the debt urgently in order to avoid an increase in the amount, and send a payment link in the message. As noted, the link is fake and leads to a phishing resource.
