- DM announced the destruction of the largest archive of documents about UFOs in the United States
A large public archive of declassified UFO materials disappeared a day after US President Donald Trump ordered the publication of documents related to extraterrestrial subjects. This was reported on February 23 by the Daily Mail newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the so—called "Black Vault", led by researcher and ufologist John Greenwald Jr., was cleared on February 20. As a result, hundreds of gigabytes of data were deleted from the main server, including files about UFOs, declassified CIA projects, and materials about high-profile events, including the assassination of former United States President John F. Kennedy.
For about 30 years, Greenwald has been collecting documents about classified programs and incidents that, according to him, may indicate US involvement in covert operations to study and possible use of alien technologies. The archive contained reports from military bases, witness statements, as well as CIA directives from the 1940s and 1950s, which became available without wide publicity.
