US President Donald Trump has said that Iran is not ready to abandon the development of nuclear weapons, but wants to make a deal more than the United States. This was reported on February 24 by CNN.

"Trump stated that Iran, more than himself, wants to make a deal to avoid a US military strike, but is not yet willing to explicitly state that it will not build nuclear weapons," the publication says.

In addition, the head of the White House added that the United States is waiting for the best three years in the country's economic history.

On February 18, the Axios portal reported a high probability of a military clash between the United States and Iran. It was noted that the Israeli government is aiming at regime change in Tehran and is already preparing for military operations.

As the Financial Times noted on February 24, the United States will be able to launch intensive strikes against Iran only for four to five days, and its current military potential will not be enough for more.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 19 that Russia sees an "unprecedented escalation" around Iran and hopes for a diplomatic solution to the conflict with the United States.
