Nebenzia declared that Europe was sculpting a hero out of Zelensky against common sense

For years, European states have been shaping the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, into a hero, contrary to common sense and facts. This was stated on February 24 by Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzia.

"Contrary to the facts and common sense, all these years you have been shaping Zelensky into a hero, sticking out peaceful aspirations that he never had," the Russian permanent representative said at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukrainian issues.

In addition, he accused the Europeans of trying to falsely attribute to Russia a lack of interest in the world, as well as a focus on escalation.

On the same day, Nebenzia said that Europe was not in the mood to support the ongoing trilateral negotiations aimed at finding a long-term solution to the conflict in Ukraine. He added that the Europeans are also not interested in the future of the Ukrainian people.
