Russia appreciates the United States' position on Ukraine and is responsible for the trilateral negotiations. This was stated on February 24 by Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.

"From the very beginning of the conflict, we have stated that for us the diplomatic method of achieving our goals is preferable," Nebenzia stressed.
