Writers Grigory Chkhartishvili (the pseudonym is Boris Akunin, recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists) and Dmitry Bykov (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation, included in the register of extremists and terrorists) are unlikely to return to Russia. This was announced on February 24 by former Russian Prime Minister Sergei Stepashin.

"Someone will come back if they didn't pour mud. For example, Akunin will not go, because he has already been given a deadline, just like Bykov. And the rest—why not come?" — he said in an interview with TASS.
