SKA beat Admiral and advanced to the KHL playoffs
St. Petersburg Hockey club (HC) SKA beat Admiral from Vladivostok in the championship match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and thus reached the playoffs of the tournament. The match took place on February 24 and ended with a score of 4:2.
Sergey Plotnikov and Scott Wilson, as well as Matvey Korotky and Brennan Menell scored for the St. Petersburg team. Kyle Olson and Nikita Tertyshny scored for Admiral.
Thus, SKA reached the sixth place in the Western Conference with 69 points. Admiral closes the Eastern Conference table with 41 points.
Earlier, on February 21, SKA beat HC CSKA Moscow 3-0 in the KHL regular season match. Nikita Dishkovsky scored a double, scoring in the 11th and 26th minutes, and Rocco Grimaldi scored another goal in the 50th minute.
