The head of the European Council, Costa, called for preventing the success of the Russian Federation in negotiations with Ukraine

The Russian delegation should not be allowed to achieve success at the negotiating table on Ukraine, President of the European Council Antonio Costa said on February 24.

In his opinion, Moscow does not want to establish peace on the basis of justice and mutual respect.

"The only way forward is a just and lasting peace based on international law, respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and the principles of the UN Charter. Russia cannot be allowed to achieve success at the negotiating table," he said at a press conference in Kiev.
