On February 24, the Museum of Ukraine opened in the historical bunker of Berlin, built during the Second World War.

The published footage shows that there are few visitors. The exhibition features Ukrainian symbols and literature, as well as energy cans with Nazi slogans.

However, not everyone in Germany supported this initiative. Gunnar Lindeman, a member of the Berlin Chamber of Deputies from the Alternative for Germany party, told Izvestia that Germany had no reason to finance such a project at the expense of German taxpayers.

"We don't need a one-sided propaganda show representing a certain point of view...> As Germany, we must work to mediate between the warring parties to restore peace in Europe. This is an important task right now," he said.

In December last year, Alice Weidel, co-chair of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, said that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz resembles a politician who has lost his mind when he talks about possible military actions by the West against the Russian army on the potential demarcation line in Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in turn, noted that Merz's statements about the German army speak of a revival of militarism. The Russian Foreign Minister pointed out that Germany has set a goal to become the "first, main military force" in Europe again, whereas earlier Germany became the main military force in Europe under Nazi slogans and the intention to conquer other nations.
