Zelensky asked Trump to stay on Ukraine's side
On February 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked American leader Donald Trump to remain on Kiev's side in resolving the conflict.
"[Trump must] stay on our side," the Ukrainian president said in an interview with CNN.
Zelensky added that the United States is "too big and too important" a country to leave the negotiation process. He also called Ukraine a supposedly "democratic country," repeating his call for Washington to remain on Kiev's side.
On February 16, Trump said that Ukraine should be accommodating during negotiations to resolve the conflict with Russia. Later, on February 24, Bloomberg reported that the American president intends to end the conflict in Ukraine by July 4, 2026.
The Sun newspaper reported on February 19 that Zelensky criticized Trump during the talks in Geneva. The head of the Kiev regime criticized the approach of the American president, describing it as "unfair", and warned that Ukraine would never "forgive" the United States.
