Chinese premium cars have surpassed German ones in terms of sales speed

Chinese cars find new owners faster than German ones. Avito Auto experts told Izvestia about this on February 25.

The study was based on advertisements for the sale of used premium cars at dealers in early 2026.

Russians were buying at the fastest rate from Exeed LX and TXL dealers. They sell 1.5 times faster than the average cars in this segment. BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz A-class found new owners quickly enough, a third faster than the average. They are followed in the top 10 most liquid models by BMW X3, Exeed VX, Volvo XC60, Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz CLA-class and BMW 3-Series - buyers for these cars are on average 25% faster.

The average price for premium cars at dealers was 4.6 million rubles. It decreased the fastest at Hongqi (-24.2%, to 3.3 million rubles). Exeed cars fell in price by 12.2% (to 2.4 million rubles), Tank — by 10.6% (to 4 million rubles).

The share of dealer offers among all ads for the sale of premium cars aged no older than 10 years and more expensive than a million is 26%.

On February 19, Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said that new cars in Russia turned out to be more expensive than in Germany, South Korea, Japan and other countries. Canada ranks first in this ranking, with an average new car price of $62,000. Next are the United Kingdom ($61,000), the United States ($52,000) and Israel ($50,000), while Russia is in fifth place ($45,000).
