Politico predicted riots in Ukraine after the agreement
After the possible signing of agreements with Russia, internal unrest in Ukraine is not excluded. This was reported on February 24 by the Politico newspaper.
"It's not hard to imagine that disputes about the surrender of land will very soon get out of control and lead to riots, or worse. For patriots and front—line soldiers, it will be like a knife in the back," the publication says.
In addition, the publication points to the continuing shortage of personnel. The mobilization campaign, according to Politico, is facing low support among the population, and the number of people willing to go to the front lines is decreasing.
French President Emmanuel Macron said on February 24 that he was skeptical about the prospects for peace in Ukraine soon. In his opinion, Western countries should continue to help the Kiev regime and put pressure on Russia.
On the same day, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reported that France, along with Britain, were planning to secretly transfer European components, equipment and technologies in the nuclear field to Kiev. After that, the Federation Council called on Britain and France to conduct parliamentary investigations. At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the corresponding intention of the British and French sides a blatant violation of international law.
