Philippot announced Macron's plans to send troops to Ukraine to freeze the elections
French President Emmanuel Macron intends to send troops to Ukraine. This was announced on February 24 by Florian Philippot, leader of the French right-wing Patriots party.
"Louder than ever, we say: Macron, we will not die for Ukraine!" he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
He recalled that on the same day, the "coalition of the willing" is meeting again to determine how many European troops will be sent to Ukraine. According to the politician, the French leader is seeking to increase the militarization of Europe in order to use the conflict to suspend the presidential elections in 2027.
On February 23, Philippot criticized Macron's statements about a 90 billion euro loan to Kiev and the preparation of the 20th package of sanctions against Russia. He added that in these two issues, the French leader is acting "violently against" the interests of citizens.
In addition, the French politician called on Paris to leave the EU after the words of the Czech member of the European Parliament (EP) Tomasz Zdechowski about Russia. He noted that the MEP called for suspending Hungary's voting rights in the EU and freezing the bloc's funds if Hungary wants to block anti-Russian sanctions. According to Philippot, this position "perfectly embodies the essence of the European Union."
