JAC sued the blogger for more than 3 million rubles for criticizing the suspension
The Chinese luxury car brand Maextro, created by JAC and the IT giant Huawei, won in court from an auto blogger. Now he will have to pay compensation in the amount of 300 thousand yuan (3.32 million rubles at the current exchange rate), according to CarNewsChina.
At the beginning of last year, a blogger who performs under the nicknames Racing Frappuccino and Fraccino criticized a series of official videos dedicated to the Maextro S800 suspension. In them, the car demonstrated a "crab course" and drove through potholes. The competitor was the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. If the German sedan left traces behind, then the S800 seemed to pass over pits filled with water and sand.
This circumstance gave the blogger grounds to claim that the C tests were rigged to emphasize the advantages of the S800 suspension. In turn, Maextro demanded an apology from the mentioned influencer in March 2025. However, he prepared a provocative video ridiculing Huawei's marketing.
As a result, one of Maextro's parent companies, JAC, sued the blogger in May last year. The automaker demanded compensation in the amount of 1 million yuan (over 11 million rubles). The blogger did not agree with the accusations and stated that he would file a counterclaim against the plaintiff for compensation in the amount of 2.5 million yuan (27.7 million rubles).
The court sided with the automaker and decided that the description of the Maextro S800 provided by the blogger was fabricated and damaged the company's reputation. He ordered the defendant to make a public apology and pay 300 thousand yuan.
Earlier, Fraccino was included in the list of bloggers who defamed the reputation of car companies in November 2025 in order to attract attention and traffic.
On February 24, 2026, Nikita Rodionov, technical director of the international franchise network of car service Fit Service, said that knocks in the suspension are increasingly being recorded even in modern crossovers with low mileage. According to him, suspension repairs consistently remain among the most sought-after jobs in car service stations. At the same time, owners of not only high-mileage cars, but also modern crossovers are increasingly complaining about knocks and extraneous noises. The reasons for such appeals lie both in the design features of new cars and in real road conditions.
