40-degree frosts are expected in the Irkutsk region on Wednesday, February 25. The regional hydrometeorological center warns about this.

At night, the air temperature will reach -32 degrees, and when the weather clears, the thermometer will drop to -40 degrees. During the day, the temperature will reach -20 degrees, in low relief forms — up to 30 degrees below zero.

There will be some light snow on this day. The wind speed in gusts will reach 14 m/s, writes IA IrkutskMedia.

Earlier, on February 24, it was reported that abnormally warm weather had set in Yakutsk. It will stand until the end of the calendar winter. These days, in the capital of Yakutia, the air temperature is 8-10 degrees above long-term values. Wednesday afternoon is forecast to reach -5 degrees.
