Krasnoyarsk residents were warned about the danger of avalanches in the mountains

There is a high risk of avalanches in the mountainous regions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory on February 24. The storm warning was published by the KGKU "Rescuer".

Heavy snowfall is possible in the southern regions of the region on Tuesday, with wind speeds of up to 18 m/s. This creates an avalanche hazard in the mountains in the Ermakovsky and Kuraginsky districts.

Rescuers advise not to go out into the mountains that day. Those who are already there should monitor weather changes and avoid possible avalanche sites, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

If a tourist gets into an avalanche zone, he needs to run away to get out of its way. And if you get under a snow mass, take shelter under a rock or behind a large tree.

Earlier, on February 19, it was reported that an avalanche had descended on the Arkhyz resort in Karachay-Cherkessia. Presumably, four houses were trapped under the snow. People caught in an avalanche were pulled out from under the snow. According to preliminary data, the victims did not require medical assistance.
