New Zealand intends to send $8 million in aid to Ukraine, as well as impose additional sanctions on Russia. This was announced on February 24 by the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Winston Peters.

It is noted that $5 million will be allocated for humanitarian aid to international partners who support the Ukrainian side, and the remaining $3 million for reconstruction and reform of the country. Peters clarified that such assistance "demonstrates the continued solidarity of New Zealand."

"New Zealand is also introducing the 34th package of sanctions against Russia. The new measures include lowering the price limit for Russian crude oil, as well as imposing sanctions on 100 vessels," the New Zealand Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.

On February 19, Sweden announced the provision of a new military aid package to Ukraine in the amount of 12.9 billion crowns ($1.42 billion). It was noted that the package will include air defense systems, drones, as well as long-range missiles.
