A case of timber smuggling worth 150 million rubles was opened in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, special services have stopped a channel for the illegal export of coniferous wood abroad. A criminal case has been opened.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, with reference to the FSB press service for the region, it was established that two companies shipped timber for export under foreign trade contracts. They used fake documents to do this.

In total, the attackers managed to send about 15 thousand cubic meters of wood to the countries of the near and far abroad. The cost exceeded 150 million rubles.

Earlier it was reported that a resident of the Trans-Baikal Territory was accused of smuggling timber worth over 1 billion rubles. According to the investigation, from 2017 to 2021, the accused, as part of a criminal community, issued fictitious documents for the purchase of timber and used front companies to illegally export lumber. The total volume of illegally exported timber amounted to 107 thousand cubic meters.
