The most common types of trucks in Russia are named

Dump trucks and truck tractors are the most widespread segments of trucks in the Russian market. This was reported on February 24 in a press release from the National Agency for Industrial Information (NAPI), which was received by Izvestia.

At the beginning of the year, there were 887,000 dump trucks and 839,000 tractor units. Their share is 24.1% and 22.8% of the total truck fleet, respectively. On—board or awning vehicles account for 13.7% of the fleet or 506.1 thousand units, vans account for 13% of the fleet or 477.0 thousand units. 5% each are occupied by bulk (189.9 thousand units) and lifting equipment (188.6 thousand units).

According to NAPI, the truck fleet totals 3.7 million units as of January 1, 2026.
