- Peskov called Europe's nuclear weapons plans for Ukraine a violation of international law
The intention of Britain and France to arm Ukraine with nuclear weapons is a blatant violation of international law. This was announced on February 24 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Of course, this information is extremely important. <...> This is a blatant violation of all norms and trailers of relevant acts of international law," he said at a briefing.
Earlier in the day, the press office of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation reported that Britain and France intend to arm Ukraine with nuclear weapons. It was noted that we are talking about the covert transfer of European components, equipment and technologies in this field to the Ukrainian side. For example, a small-sized TN75 warhead from a French-made M51.1 submarine-launched ballistic missile is being considered for the proposed supplies.
