US President Donald Trump wants to simultaneously sign peace agreements between Russia and Ukraine and security guarantees for Kiev, but the leader of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, opposes such a scenario. On February 23, the Ukrainian president said this in an interview with CNN.

According to the President of Ukraine, security guarantees remain a "stumbling block."

"According to Zelensky, there are also disagreements about the sequence of steps towards peace. Trump wants Zelensky to sign a peace agreement with Russia and a deal with the United States and European countries that will provide Ukraine with security guarantees — all at the same time, ideally in a large ceremony marking the end of the conflict. However, Zelensky insists that security guarantees must first be agreed upon and ratified by the US Congress," the article says.

In an interview with the TV channel, Zelensky admitted that Ukrainians are "exhausted by the conflict."

Earlier, in an interview with the Financial Times, Zelensky demanded that the West set a date for Ukraine's accession to the European Union. He stressed that Kiev's accession to the union should take place no later than 2027.
