Unknown details of FSB operations formed the basis of the TV series "Specials"
Archival documents about a large-scale special forces operation in the Moscow region were stripped of the "secret" label, and they formed the basis for one of the episodes of the TV series "Specials". The story of how the terrorist attack was prevented was reproduced with maximum accuracy.
After one machine-gun burst, another, a detachment of the FSB of Russia gives battle to the saboteurs. An unknown page of the work of the special services, the details of this operation near Moscow have never been widely publicized.
The engineer of the Russian military shield is being hunted by Western intelligence services, and a sniper has been deployed in the Moscow region. There were "Specialists" for each of their specialists. The terrorist attack was thwarted, the killer tried to escape to Ukraine, he was covered by saboteurs. Snowmobiling, shooting, and chasing are all in the tradition of the genre.
"It's a classic action movie, so it's all based on action, dynamics, stunts, and shots. In general, this is an absolutely male project," explained actor Mikhail Tarabukin.
Stunts and shots are not easy, you don't have to overdo it, the emphasis in the series is on realism. Hollywood explosions of fuel tanks are not worth waiting for, professionals are working quietly.
"What distinguishes this series is its close attention to detail. Special services consultants are located next to the film crew. They show you how to move around properly, how to shoot, what gestures to show, even how to breathe properly," correspondent Maxim Oblender said.
"Specials" is the most truthful series about the most difficult profession. The plot is also real, because the scriptwriters work with the archives of the special services, until recently all this was classified as secret.
"At first it seems to you that this is some kind of ballet, then you realize that this is due to the need for safety. That is, if I come out from around the corner, the trunk should appear first, then my face a little bit," added actor Mark Ovchinnikov.
There is one story every two episodes. Filming is nearing completion, the geography of the project is extensive, they plan to shoot even in the Arctic.
"We studied a lot, we studied materials on the terrorist Doku Umarov, we delved more closely into the details of the Nevsky terrorist attack, Nevsky Express, the terrorist attack that took place in Domodedovo. The cynicism with which it all happened is shocking," said the director of the series, Alexander Chernyaev.
Ekaterina Kirillova, editor-in-chief of the Triix Media film company, said that the group traveled throughout the Caucasus region for filming, and was also in the Crimea, after which it moved to the European part to talk about operations in urban environments, which few people know about.
"They don't make any allowances for the actors, even the exercises are the same as those of the FSB special forces. Instead of a sports equipment, a combat comrade in full uniform is on his shoulders," the correspondent emphasized.
Theater and film actor Dmitry Pchela admitted that he had not seen such material in Russia yet, as it requires very strong physical training.
The series "Specials", a collaboration between the Triix Media film company and REN TV— promises to be one of the most ambitious projects of the year. The audience will find fascinating stories about the work of the elite unit of Russia.
In December last year, it was noted that the story of the FSB special forces unit's fight against terrorists formed the basis of the action-packed TV series "Specials". At the same time, the script is written based on documents that have been preserved after actual operations.
