ITIA suspended tennis player Kaufman for violating anti-corruption rules
On February 23, the International Agency for Tennis Integrity (ITIA) announced the temporary suspension of three players, including Russian Mark Kaufman, pending a final decision on possible violations of the anti-corruption program.
Kaufman was suspended in December. The athlete's highest position in the doubles ranking was the 2023rd line, which he held in September last year.
The reason for the sanctions against the tennis player was the failure to comply with the requirements of the ITIA. In January, Kaufman filed an appeal, but his complaint was rejected.
On February 12, it was reported that the head coach of the Finnish national ski jumping team, Igor Medved, was suspended from the 2026 Olympics due to alcohol consumption. Medved himself apologized for his actions and wished the team a good job during the competition.
