"According to the updated information, during the inspection of the scene on the square near the Savelovsky railway station and the study of recordings from surveillance cameras by police officers, it was established that the criminal died at the scene," the department's Telegram channel says.

A criminal case was opened into the incident under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Assault on the life of a law enforcement officer") and Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal trafficking in explosive devices"), the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation reported on its Telegram channel.
