The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist), said on February 23 that the moment for making final decisions was approaching in the negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

"It's no secret that negotiations are not easy, but we are definitely moving forward and are approaching the moment when all parties will need to make final decisions," the Ukrainian agency UNIAN quoted him as saying.

In addition, Budanov noted the contribution of the United States in bringing the negotiations closer to a result.

On February 18, the third round of closed-door talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States ended in Geneva. The head of the Russian delegation, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, at the end of the meetings, called the trilateral negotiations difficult but constructive. The special envoy of the American leader, Stephen Witkoff, in turn, shared that the parties had made significant progress during the discussions.
