A medical plane crashed in the Indian state of Jharkhand.
A Redbird Airways Beechcraft C90 VT-AJV medical aircraft with seven people on board crashed in the Indian state of Jharkhand. This was announced on February 23 by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of India (DGCA).
"A Redbird Airways Beechcraft C90 VT-AJV aircraft operating a medical evacuation (air ambulance) flight crashed in Kasaria Panchayat, Chatra District, Jharkhand. There were seven people on board, including two crew members," the publication says in X (ex. Twitter).
It is clarified that after departure, the aircraft requested permission to deviate from the course due to weather conditions, and later communication with the aircraft was lost.
According to DGCA, a search and rescue team is at the scene investigating the circumstances of the crash.
The British tabloid The Mirror reported on February 10 that an aircraft carrying 55 passengers crashed a couple of minutes after takeoff off the coast of Somalia. Eyewitnesses of the tragedy, who were on the nearby beach at the time of the crash, confirmed that the aircraft was indeed flying too low.
