Janitor Khairullo Ibadullaev, who saved a child who fell out of a window in St. Petersburg, dreams of a car and a new home. Ibadullayev's wife told about it on February 23.

"My husband's dream is to buy a car and a two—bedroom apartment in Tashkent. And we dream of living here," the woman shared in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Ibadullaev rescued a seven-year-old boy on Sunday, February 22. The incident occurred on Petrozavodskaya Street in the Petrogradsky district of St. Petersburg. The child was playing near an open window and fell off, but the janitor managed to catch him, which mitigated the fall from the seventh floor. The child and his rescuer were hospitalized.

On the same day, the janitor told Izvestia the details of the incident. He noticed the child when he heard the screams of the neighbors. The eyewitnesses asked the boy to enter the apartment, but he did not react in any way.

The press secretary of the President of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Asadov, announced that Ibadullayev had been awarded the Jasorat medal ("Courage") for saving a child in St. Petersburg. He stressed that Ibadullayev risked his own life and health.

On February 23, RT's editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan announced that Ibadullayev had won the Tigran Keosayan Prize: he would receive 1 million rubles for his act.
