Militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a school in the village of Novaya Poshch, Bryansk region, with kamikaze drones, and the building of the educational institution was damaged. This was announced on February 23 by the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the village of Novaya Poshch in the Suzemsky district with kamikaze drones. The attack hit the most peaceful civilian facility, the school," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

According to the governor, there were no casualties as a result of the attack by Ukrainian militants. However, the school building was damaged due to the dropping of explosive devices. The staff of operational and emergency services are working at the scene of the incident.

According to him, the paramedic team managed to leave the vehicle on their own and take refuge in a nearby private house.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on February 23 that since 2014, at least 1,936 children, including teenagers and minors, have suffered from the actions of the Ukrainian Nazis, 345 of them died. She stressed that the experiences of these children cannot be distorted or rewritten with the help of falsifications and information materials.

On February 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the "Nazi foundations" in Ukraine should be eliminated, as this is a condition for ensuring the security of the Russian Federation. He added that Russia would not allow the deployment of any types of weapons on the territory of Ukraine, which, according to Moscow, could threaten the interests of Russian security.
