Medvedev pointed to Ukraine's gradual awareness of its position.
Kiev is gradually becoming aware of the situation they are in. This was announced on February 23 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.
"I can say that, in my opinion, there is some awareness of what they (the Ukrainian authorities) are in. The situation is gradually coming," he said during a meeting with the Russian military as part of a working trip to one of the units of the unmanned aviation forces.
Medvedev stressed that the Russian Federation, by agreement, does not disclose the results of the ongoing negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict. At the same time, he clarified that at the meeting the Russian side voiced its position, including on the territorial issue and the parameters of demilitarization of Ukraine.
According to him, Kiev accepts the demands, but there is no answer to them yet.
In addition, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council urged the military to take care of themselves, stressing that Moscow needs a victory, but its price matters.
On February 18, the third round of closed-door talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States ended in Geneva. The head of the Russian delegation, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, at the end of the meetings, called the trilateral negotiations difficult but constructive. The special envoy of the American leader, Stephen Witkoff, in turn, shared that the parties had made significant progress during the discussions.
