The average salary in Russia has increased by more than 10 thousand rubles over the year, according to the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System (EMISS). This became known on February 23.
"The average monthly nominal accrued wages of those working in the economy since November 2025: the Russian Federation — 98,192 rubles," TASS reports.
It is specified that in 2024, residents of 12 regions of Russia received over 100 thousand rubles per month.: Moscow Region, Moscow, Nenets Autonomous District, Murmansk Region, Saint Petersburg, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Republic of Sakha, Kamchatka Territory, Magadan Region, Sakhalin Region and Chukotka Autonomous District. A year later, the Amur Region, the Krasnoyarsk and Trans-Baikal Territories joined them, and in the Chukotka Autonomous District and the Magadan Region, the average salary exceeded 200 thousand rubles.
It was also noted that the average monthly nominal accrued salary is calculated by dividing the fund of accrued wages for employees on and off the payroll, including external part-timers, by the average number of employees and the number of months of the reporting period.
It is emphasized that the salary fund includes all employee benefits, including remuneration, including taxes and deductions under the legislation of the Russian Federation, compensation for working conditions and hours, surcharges, allowances, bonuses, one-time incentives.
In November, the average salary of over 100 thousand rubles was recorded in 15 regions of Russia, whereas a year earlier there were 12 such subjects. As reported on February 16, the leaders in terms of payments were the Magadan Region and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, where the figure was 244 thousand and 212 thousand rubles, respectively. Moscow is in the third position with an average of 171.3 thousand rubles.
