Korobeynikov, a pediatric surgeon, was paralyzed in Thailand as a result of a heart attack

Russian pediatric surgeon Mikhail Korobeynikov was paralyzed after a heart attack in Thailand, which is why he cannot return to Russia. His son Grigory Korobeynikov told Izvestia about this on February 23.

According to Grigory, Mikhail suffered a spinal cord infarction. He is now in a Thai hospital completely paralyzed.

At the moment, there is a question of transportation — the man cannot sit on his own, he needs transportation in a supine position by a specialized medical board. Coordination with the insurance company is slow.

Korobeynikov Jr. also reported problems in communication with the Thai hospital — almost any medical intervention must be coordinated with the insurance company.

The surgeon's son added that he had asked the Russian embassy for help.

According to him, former surgeon Korobeynikov needs to be transported to Russia as soon as possible, but this is impossible without discharge and permission for transportation from doctors.

On November 28, 2025, Boyarsky's son informed Izvestia that the 73-year-old artist had been hospitalized with a heart attack. At the same time, it became known that after his hospitalization, he underwent complex intensive therapy. Boyarsky's condition was assessed as moderate in severity, but with positive dynamics.
