NYP reported on the identification of the man who attempted to assassinate Trump

US law enforcement agencies have identified a man who attempted to assassinate US President Donald Trump in Florida. This was reported by The New York Post (NYP) on February 22.

"The madman who was shot after trying to enter Mar-a-Lago (the protected area where Trump's residence is located. — Ed.) with a shotgun and a gas canister, was identified as an artist from North Carolina," the publication says.

Meanwhile, the mother of the assailant reported him missing.

At the time of the assassination, Trump was in the White House.
