US President Donald Trump has congratulated the national team on winning the hockey tournament at the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy. He published his appeal on February 22 on the Truth Social network.

"Congratulations to our wonderful USA ice hockey team. They won the gold. Wow!" he wrote.

Later, Trump posted another post and commented on the match with the words "What a game!".
