The United States national hockey team honored the memory of striker Gaudreau after winning the Olympics.

After winning the Olympics, the USA hockey team honored the memory of the tragically deceased American hockey player Johnny Gaudreau. The ceremony took place after the game on February 22.

After the match, the U.S. national team players showed off Gaudreau's jersey with the number "13".

According to the newspaper Sport-Express, Gaudreau and his younger brother Matthew died in an accident in the summer of 2024. They were hit by a drunk driver while cycling.
