Roscosmos has published a photo of St. Petersburg at night from the ISS
On February 22, the Russian state corporation Roscosmos published a nighttime shot of St. Petersburg, captured by cosmonaut Sergei Kud-Sverchkov from aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
The image posted on the Telegram channel of the state corporation shows bright urban illumination and flashes of the northern lights.
Although the natural phenomenon was most intense over Karelia and the Murmansk region, its reflections were captured over the Northern capital.
On February 19, Roscosmos showed a satellite image of Cyclone Valley over Moscow. As the state corporation reported, in a few hours the atmospheric phenomenon brought heavy snowfall.
